So the most obvious way that most think about when it comes to YouTube is the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).

But in many ways, that is the worst way to monetize.

Here are some better ways to monetize.

Before I get into it, I will say that Adsense revenue from the YPP can be good if you jump into a niche that has a HIGH payout.

For example, Finance channels can earn anywhere from $20 to $100 per thousand views. Those niches would be the only exception for what I am about to share with you. Getting a lot of views in those niches will net you quite a bit of change.

Now here we go:

Newsletter

One of my favorite ways to monetize is to build an email list. This way you can promote products and also sell advertising space. This can net you a decent amount each month and you can start with a place like Beehiiv.

Place like Beehiiv make it easy to do premium newsletters as well. Meaning you can make money by simply asking people to get PREMIUM content from you via email and charge for it.

Community

Another great way to monetize is with a community. You don’t have to use anything fancy like my YouTube Growth Community.

You can simply use Patreon. They take a big cut of the profits, but it’s better than nothing.

Course Sales

If you are in a niche where you can teach people something, you can create a course and show them how to do it.

In a lot of cases, I would rather buy a course from someone and get their strategy so that I can add it to my knowledge, but it’s a great way to earn as well.

Sponsorships

This is another obvious one, but most people do not know how to get good sponsorships. I signed up with Justin Moore and it was the best thing I ever could have done.

He has great frameworks for how to get high-paying sponsorships. It is a little on the pricey side, but it’s worth it. I made my money back with one sponsorship deal.

Coaching/Consulting/Cohorts

This would be another good way to earn with a channel, but it does require a lot of time on your part.

But because it takes up so much time, you can charge a lot more for it making it worth your while.
