I always thought that I had a firm “grip” on running a business, but some of the growing pains I had were totally heart-wrenching.

When I was about 20 years old, I was sitting at home watching Steve Jobs introduce the iPhone, and I did not know what I was seeing. The smartphone ended up becoming the biggest invention in human history.

So I went online and found some an overseas wholesaler selling iPhones. But they were like $200 each (not the $500 Apple was selling them for).

So my idea was to buy the phones and resell them on eBay in the States…

Well, long story short, they weren’t iPhones, they were mPhones (sadly this is a true story).

I had gotten played…

But that was “stupid” me not knowing what I was doing, but I just stumbled onto a business model that is insanely easy to do and requires no upfront cost.

For full transparency, I ran into this idea by watching this video.

It is insanely informative and incredibly simple. I will leave the in-depth explanation for the video, so please check it out… but here is a quick synopsis.

Go to Canva, and create a 9/12 card with about 15 to 20 spots. You will take that card and create 5k to 10k of them. But before you spend any money, this is how you get it first.

Go to LOCAL businesses and sell the spots for anywhere from $200 to $900. I know that sounds hard to do, but honestly, it is not. Any business owner that can get this kind of advertising would normally pay THOUSANDS for the exposure they will get with this model.

You can use email to get slots filled, but it will always be much easier to walk into your local businesses and get them to agree.

Anyways, they will pay upfront to advertise, getting you anywhere from 8 to 10k in revenue.

Now all you have to do is go to eddm.usps.com and find a zip code. You will be able to mail the cards for roughly $0.22 each (yes, cheaper than regular postage).

Printing the cards and postage will likely cost you roughly $4,000.

But remember, you just collected 8 to 10k, meaning you can end up with about $4k in profits.

The real catch to this is not just settling on your zip code. Do neighboring zip codes, go out of town, out of state… the possibilities are endless.

I really just wanted to share this because it’s such a brilliant idea to make money relatively fast.
