I'm Lacking Motivation

I’m stuck in research mode and lacking motivation, and I don’t really have a plan to get out of it.

It’s so easy to “coast” through life. Especially when you have a consistent revenue source coming in.

In the past, when I got to this point, I burned out and completely stopped creating anything… but I have a plan to combat it this time.

I heard a quote that said, “you work hard when you are young so you can coast when you get older"

I’m a millennial and starting to push 40 years old... (YIKES!, but I’m not there yet… still holding on to my 39 at least for a few more months.)

Anyway, because of what happened with SEO in the last couple of years, my business was basically destroyed, and I needed to reinvent it.

I started consulting with SEO and have been doing that for the last year or so, but I’m stuck.

I’ve gotten used to the consistent revenue, and I’m getting lazy.

I’ve had a couple of business ventures that haven’t panned out the way that I would have liked, and it’s annoying.

But here is what I’m going to do.

Invest more

I need to be more of an investor rather than a business owner. The difference there is that I have the capital to pay someone to do the grunt work for me, which will leave me more time for better ideas for what I plan to do.

A business owner usually spends more time building and running the business rather than creating processes to let the business run without home (or with as little physical touch as possible)

So, I am all about systems for the next few years. What can I create, and importantly, WHO can I put in place to run it while I do something else?

That something else could be working on other endeavors OR just chilling on a beach somewhere.
