Hey, it’s Chris…

First off, how have you been?

It’s been a pretty hectic week for me. As the weather improves where I live there are tons of things to do outside. (Including but not limited to playing GOLF!)

But enough about that. I really wanted to talk about what I really like about this time of year.

As tough as it sounds with Benji getting out of school, it gives us more time to do stuff.

He’s recently gotten into soccer (have you ever heard of Blue Lock?) and we are getting him some soccer stuff for the summer.

The coolest thing about reflecting on the past 12 months is to learn from them and here is a few things I learned in the last 12 months.

  1. Being down and out with your goals is not the end of the world.

It’s been a tough go of it since Google destroyed my old blogging business model in a single update. But I’ve successfully pivoted.

Concentrating on YouTube and newsletters rather than just blogs as been an amazing shift and still gives me time.

  1. Learning how to delegate

One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn is how to give up tasks to VAs, editors, and scriptwriters. I like working and doing things myself, but since I’ve outsourced most of those duties, I’ve been able to have more time to concentrate on things that are higher-level.

  1. Spend money more wisely

As a result, I know where my money is going more clearly. Before I just had an idea of where things were going and left it at that. Which usually lead to a pretty hectic tax period.

But as I make more of a conscious effort to gain and preserve wealth, I need more clarity. What are you doing to control your finances?

As the next 12 months come and go, make some goals now.

Where do you want to be the next time summer rolls around? I’m going to work on my main channel, hitting 150k subscribers. Let’s see if I can do it.
