100k and Still Got it!

I even surprised myself

I recently had a viral video on my personal brand channel, Benji’s Dad.

This channel is all the way screwed up when it comes to having a “split” audience. What I mean by this is that even though it has 60,000+ subscribers, they are not all interested in the same thing.

This makes creating content on the channel “hit and miss.” Some videos do very well, and some not so well.

But with that said, check out this screenshot…

How cool is that?

A video I posted about a month ago has just broken 100,000 views.

I’ll tell you how I did it below…

But I’ll give you the cliff notes version here…

I’ve mentioned this in previous emails, but creating your own “BLUE OCEAN” is the best way to grow on YouTube nowadays.

This is especially true when dealing in ultra-competitive niches.

Copying titles and ideas from videos that are already doing well CAN work, but it’s not how you build any sustainability.

The video that just went for over 100k views has a title that DOES NOT exist on YouTube at all.

It essentially says the same thing as some others, but because I personalized the title (“my favorite”), I immediately separated the video from every other one on YouTube.

I used a similar strategy on a faceless channel in another competitive niche, and the strategy is working there as well.

But keep in mind, it is more than just tagging “my favorite” to a video (even though that is currently what I’m testing, lol) but remember the principle that you want to create from a video idea that does not exist in your niche on YouTube… yet.

That way, when people are looking for that particular type of content, your video will be the only one on YouTube that can satisfy the demand.
